Style files :: Black jeans just can't stay clean.

If you follow me on Instagram, you saw this picture with my crazy eyes.  In it's unedited version, it's even crazier, but you get to see my shoes.

[Shirt :: Target - old | Sweater :: Apostrophe - old | Black jean skinnies :: Old Navy | Booties :: Target - similar and similar | Purse :: Target - no longer online some in stores]

Funny story about this sweater.  D gave it to me as one of my gifts for our first Christmas together.  That was...8 years ago?  Someone asked me if it was cashmere when I wore it out.  While it's not, it is made with some rabbit hair.  So moral of the story...shop your closet!  Unfortunately, that sweater shed all over the black jeans.  Even if it weren't for the sweater, with four pets roaming around this house, it's close to impossible for me to walk out of the house fur-free.

Ps. While I don't think the bootie trend is most flattering on my short legs, I'm digging it.  I also just picked up some studded cowboy-ish booties from Target for $10.50, so keep an eye out for those.

I have a pair of black pants that just pick up EVERYTHING! I swear I have to carry a roller around with me everywhere...
(and your face in the picture reminds me of the movie Bridesmaids when Helen and Annie are taking turns giving awkward best friend speeches and Annie just stares at Lillian for a good 10 seconds trying to "give her a look"... Hopefully you know what I'm talking about otherwise this is really awkward!)

I don't even have pets, but my black clothes are always linty looking. No idea why!

Anyway, that sweater is SO cute! This is definitely a good reminder to shop what we already have.

You look adorbs, even with fur everywhere. My black pants just attract lint. It's a huge problem considering I love the poop outta black pants.

black pants are my favorite... but i'm never completely clean. hair, fuzz, pieces of life tend to stick onto me ONLY when i'm in black pants. rawr.

I think you look adorable! I do hate that black pants show everything in terms of lint, but I suppose I can't live without them:)

One of the main reasons I don't own black jeans any more is because of our white cat. This makes me very sad, as I love black jeans! The things we do for our animals... x

I have a love/hate relationship with my black skinnies. They pick up every bit of lint and guinea pig hair around but I still wear them anyway!

my black pants are my favorite! and i dont think the booties make your legs look short at all so you should keep rockin' them!

I really want a pair of black skinnies. Noted on the pet hair aspect. I need a travel sized lint roller for my purse!

I love the booties on you! I don't think they make your legs look short at all. I totally feel you on the hair on black thing... I have a cat and it is impossible to do anything in the house in dark/black clothes. I have to vaccuum at least 1-2x a week (floor/furniture/etc) and I am still wiping cat hair off the counters every single day!
