Things have been busy. Even when we haven't had people in town, there's been just plain doing. I had a fabulous long weekend with my sister, I'm busy with after work meetings, the Esprit de She (even though I'm sadly not running), and prepping/packing for another busy weekend. While I'm relishing in summer, this is a time I definitely feel like I need a vacation from the vacation.
I'm completely obsessed with this maxi. There's very, very few things I will pay full price for at Target, but I'm over the moon I picked this up (luckily I had some gift cards otherwise it may not have happened). I just could not find it online, but check in stores since I saw it still out this weekend (FYI, I had to size up). Now for the moment so many of you have been asking me about...
The tattoo! Apologies for the out-of-focus pictures (oh the woes of D being out of town). I've known for about a year or more that I was ready for a new tattoo. I went back and forth between designs. After finally deciding on a design, it took quite a bit to figure out who was going to use for a tattoo artist. I decided/was recommended Mark VanNess (he's opening his own shop and you should check it out!). I waited three+ months for my appointment with him, and I couldn't be happy. I know I'll be heading to him for my next tattoo.
I'm head over heels for the location and the design. It's not 100% healed (those are some flakes in the boat and they'll be gone in the next day or two), but I couldn't wait any longer for the reveal. There's definitely some significant meaning for me in the waves, animals, and the boat, but it's also built around this poem which hit a cord with me. I could not be more happy with my artist and the way the tattoo turned out. It has me already planning out my next!
Huge thanks and cheers to Justyn for being my moral and pre-gaming support during the whole experience too. We're bonded for life now :)
Linking up today!
