Now we're growin'!

I'm the official tender of our garden (meaning I tend to it...not the adjective version of that word). Sometimes I forget to water it, especially now that the heat is necessitating that I water daily. So far we have produced one edible jalepeno and some lettuce. We have one huge tomato that we're hoping will ripen on the window sill.

Today I checked things out and look what I found:

The cantaloupe we planted late is growing huge! I can't wait to expand the garden next year!

Cucumber, also planted late, but has blooms and I know we'll have a baby cuke sprouting soon!

Hot chili peppers are getting huge! I can't wait for them to start turning red.

Two more jalepenos! The first was perfect...spicy and wonderful. Fresh grown are way better than store bought.

FINALLY banana peppers (if you can see them). I was starting to think they wouldn't show.

I know this is a terrible pic, but if you look top and center, you'll see a baby, baby bell pepper poking out! Didn't think they'd show either.

The lettuce is crazy now that I've been trimming it. I should probably trim the leaves that look to be falling off. And I couldn't resist Marlee in the background.

And finally tomatoes! That's just one of the many bunches. They're growing like crazy!

I can't wait to share some of the ways we start cooking with everything!

Oh fun! My mom is growing tomatoes, I picked off 6 of them. My dad is growing peppers, they're growing like crazy. I... grow nothing because I have no green thumb.
