This happened. 6 minutes shaved off my last 5k (yay PR!) and average sub 11 minute miles!! I feel so proud of myself!
D is the best cheerleader. He treated me to this amazing post-race brunch + cocktails.
I'm a lucky girl. This is also a reminder that I HAVE to keep running. At this point, I'm only going to get better (knock on wood). Short or long distance...I will keep running.

Congratulations! That's very exciting! And I'm with you. I've got to keep running too! I've take too much time off and am missing it.......
Way to go, girl! You WILL get faster! I saw a woman this weekend who used to run 11/12 minute miles. She got a PR of something like 27:11? at a 5K this weekend. She is getting better and better because she is really dedicated. I, on the other hand, am getting slower and slower.. LOL
Well done!
I finally finally finally started C25K (or Ease into 5K as it's now called, not nearly as catchy) last week and walked like a geriatric for three days afterwards. After that one run/walk/shuffle, I have the utmost respect for runners. That shiz is hard work!
Keep up the good work, it's very inspiring and motivating.
That's amazing!!! 6 minutes is a lot of time that you've shaved off! I'm so proud of you. You really motivate me :)
Great job on the PR!
