Food & Beer Friday :: Ichabod.

It's October now!  I figured it would be fitting to focus on some autumnal beers!  I'm going mostly pumpkin, so let's kick this off with one pumpkin ale I had never tried before.

New Holland Brewing has some delicious beers in their line-up! They don't have a staple that is a regular for me, but their Dragon's Milk Ale.  Seriously...check it out.  Ah-mazing!  Let's get this this Ichabod Ale though.

The Ichabod Pumpkin Ale tasted exactly like what a pumpkin beer should be.  The beer was brewed with barley, real pumpkin, cinnamon, and nutmeg....almost a pumpkin pie!  The aroma is spicy and makes me crave more fall weather.

The beer had a minimal head which matched with the lighter carbonation level.  Overall, this beer didn't stand out to me.  It tasted like a "typical" pumpkin beer, which isn't necessarily a bad thing!  It didn't surpass my favorite October beer (which I'll spotlight later this month) though.  Pick it up while you're stocking up on other pumpkin ales!

CHEERS!

I'm not much of a beer drinker, but I do like trying all the special autumn beers around this time of year. I might have to try this one!

I LOVE the Ichabod Pumpkin! I haven't ever had the Dragon's Milk though! And THANK YOU because you just made me realize that I can buy from them online. You made my weekend.

I don't know if it's just the lighting, but the color looks awesome. I won't turn down any pumpkin beer.
