Since I constantly have the travel bug, D and I got back on the subject of our spring break trip. We may be getting/have the opportunity to get some cheap flights. This is where I need your help! Any advice on beautiful, relaxing west coast destinations? We'd love to use our cheap flights for west coast because 1) I've never been (D will have his first trip in late March) and 2) more bang for our buck. West coast flights cost a pretty penny from across country. San Fran is HUGE on my list, but any advice is welcomed!! We're still considering road tripping, and I'll probably get D to do a cost analysis (since I still really want to go overseas for holidays 2011).
Give me those opinions! Thanks!

Wellllll as a San Franciscan, I strongly urge you to go with your gut! haha. San Francisco is beautiful, fun, and there are endless things to do here. You will fall in love with this city! And you can get up to Napa in just an hour and spend a day in the wine country.
I agree with Claire, I've been to San Fran TWICE and I didn't want to leave both times. It's such a pretty, fun, historic, place. So much to see, so much to do. Just awesome.
We just got fairly cheap tickets to LA in January, and actually had a great time! We were skeptical about the "eww" factor of Los Angeles, but we stayed in Venice and found it charming, as well as some awesome urban hiking spots West of Hollywood and in Malibu.
