Remember a little bit ago when I mentioned wanting to try lipstick? Well I broke out of my little shell and tried a couple.
I didn’t want to start with anything too expensive in case lipstick just wasn’t a match for me. I wasn’t sure what would look good with my skin tone/hair, and I just wasn’t sure how often I would wear it. I initially went out and bought two colors, a fushia and a coral/orange.
I thought I would try the coral first since it wouldn’t be as much of a jump into the world of lipstick. I chose Sonia Kashuk Coraline. I did not like it at all on the first try, so I ended up starting with the fushia.
I chose Covergirl Spellbound. I ended up really enjoying it. It made me feel grown up and like a lady. Then I tried the Coraline again, and ended up really liking it. I also found that this one lasts the longest compared to my others.
[Ignore those crazy eyes!]
I loved lipstick so much after my first two, I decided to try out another. I chose Revlon Sweet Tart.
[Super stylish in the bathroom and rain coat]
Since Raleigh is not the epitome of fashion and style (and who am I kidding, neither am I), I try to go for casual clothes when I’m breaking out the lipstick. I like the way lipstick makes me feel though. My one qualm (and I assume this can primarily be attributed to the fact that I got “cheap” lipsticks) is that they don’t last! Obviously I’m only putting on lipstick when I am going out, and going out involves eating and drinking.
How do you get your lipstick to last? (Oh and I think I also need tips on taking self-portraits?!)

I love your shade of lipstick!
Lovely! i love lipstick! I normally buy cheaper ones, but I recently splurged, and bought a berry colored tube from este lauder, it stays on when I go out!
Good choice with the Spellbound! I am debating whether or not to jump into the fashion of bright pink lipstick... it's a risk, for sure.
P.S. I love your phone case.
I need to branch out into the lipstick world. I think I have one tube :) I'm just so much more comfortable with gloss, but I feel like lipstick's more "adult" somehow. I think I just need to go to Sephora and get it over with, ha!
At least once a year I try lipstick but it never sticks. I wish I could get myself to wear it. Looks great on you. And I live your phone case!!!
