I had completely forgotten about another pumpkin beer that was stashed in the back of my fridge!
This Weyerbacher is spot-on. I didn't think it was over the top and the spices were well balanced. Did I like it as much as my favorite? No, but I'd love to do a side-by-side tasting because I think it could come close. I'm in love with the label and possibly the higher alcohol level! There isn't anything that makes this beer too special, but I'll definitely drink another next October. I'm ready to make my way to stouts & porters for the late fall/winter season!

Thaaaaat sounds delightful. Lately, I've been cozying up with my Harpoon Winter Warmer. Because it's out. And I cannot deny Winter Warmer.
Ha! Pumpkin drinking pumpkin beer. Have a happy Friday!
Weyerbacher is all about the higher ABVs! We toured their brewery in PA. They're pretty awesome.
I meant to comment on your last beer post that Dogfish Head is also my favorite pumpkin beer. So much more flavorful than any of the others I've tried. I've never heard of the Weyerbacher, and sadly I probably won't be able to find it now (why oh why is pumpkin beer season SO SHORT!) but I will keep it in mind for next season! Are you gonna do a Christmas Ale series?? :) I want recs!
I asked for another pumpkin beer that was on tap a couple of nights ago, and it had been replaced with the Weyerbacher - I was nervous because I hadn't tried it before but I loved it! I was very impressed! I wish pumpkin beers could be "in season" all year long!
