Lazy Sundays.

We actually haven't had a lazy Sunday.  I adore the weekends.  Yesterday I had to wake up so early to take my teaching tests.  I don't even want to talk about that.  I'm enjoying/celebrating the rest of my weekend drinking with friends.  We have some friends in town this weekend (which I'm so happy to have some Georgia friends back in NC!).  Since I'm officially done studying and can enjoy the rest of my summer, I'll be updating on my weekend and such tomorrow.

Just to give you some eye candy...I'm anxiously anticipating the return of Gossip Girl.  I adore Chuck Bass.  Here's some pics that just make me smile :)

Red-headed Cher.

Kathy Griffin if my Cher :)  (to use her quote).  Guys...I can not even stop laughing when I watch Life on the D-List.

I totally want to add meeting her/spending a day with her to my bucket list, but I'm afraid it may not happen.  I hope she has a google alert for her name.  If so...

KATHY, PLEASE CONTACT ME SO I CAN SPEND A DAY WITH YOU AND MAGGIE!!!

She makes me laugh so hard.  You also know how I love her support of the LQBT community.  I would die to be her assistant (probably literally because I'd have to give up my whole life with D here in NC).  So I'll take the day with her and Maggie.  Oh and I'd have to be able to bring a friend...KD since she got me hooked on Kathy.  I'm going to brainstorm more ways to bring Kathy's attention to me...

THE finale.

So KD and I finally watched the Gossip Girl finale last night.  We watched together via gchat so our little fingers wouldn't get tired of texting.  The episode was epic.  There was so much ridiculous shit going on in the ep, KD and I were practically left speechless.  I won't spoil anything just in case you haven't watched.  I crave GG style.  I could never afford or look near as good as Blair and Serena pulling the clothes off.  Needless to mention the fact that I would never dress up as much as these girls do to go anywhere.

Here are a few of my fav outfits:

I just adore this dress and the necklace!  It would be a perfect New Years dress.

Blair's dress here is super simple and cute.  She does pair it with some NEON yellow heels which I'm not in love with for such a chic dress.  I can't wait to see what happens next season!

Wednesday blues...

Honestly, I'm sort of confused as to how today is Wednesday.  On the positive side, it's hump day which means the week is half way over.  On the negative side, it's still only fucking Wednesday.  It certainly feels like it should at least be Thursday.  I think the week is passing depressingly slow because I've been anxiously anticipating a phone call (more details later) for almost two weeks now.  It's getting extremely frustrating.  Along with trying to focus my mind on work and documenting and social work and balancing my life with work, I just can't get my mind off obsessively checking my phone for a call.  As I'm always saying, I've got a million things going on in my life right now.  I'll be happy when May is here.  Hopefully, I'll be in a much more solid position in my life.  I will be married by then ;)

I finally picked a bouquet.  I decided on this one:

From perfectlypaper on Etsy.  I have to say she has been awesome to work with so far.  She obliged my need for the exact colors and flowers from the above pictured centerpiece.  She obliged my need to have the flowers sent to me unbundled so I can layer them in a flat box to be stashed in my carry on for the flight to Aruba.  She's awesome.  I'm making the official purchase on Friday (can we say payday?!).  Exciting!  Speaking of wedding party stuff, I previously mentioned that I sent out save the dates last week.  Everyone is getting them and giving rave reviews (which makes me sooooooooo happy), but no one is RSVP'ing.  I'm a little bummed (but not that much).  Maybe I just have a different RSVP mentality.  If I know I'm going, I'll RSVP like the day I get the invite.  If I don't I'll forget!  Maybe others prefer to RSVP closer to the date of the event.  We requested RSVPs by March 6 (assuming that some people wouldn't meet that deadline).  They better start coming in quicker!  I'm getting anxious.

I got the pleasure and joy of working from home yesterday.  I definitely enjoy a day where I don't have to get dressed and come into the office.  The office has seriously been making me stir crazy lately anyhow.  I needed a day away from this place.  Since documentation takes over part of my work life, I had the joys of doing it while having Jersey Shore in the background.  Now, my guilty pleasure (well probably more of just a pleasure because I watch so much of it) is trashy reality tv.  I can not even get enough of it.  Jersey Shore just goes beyond that.  The basis is a reality show of 6 strangers being filmed while living together in a house at the Jersey Shore for the summer.  Oh...the people are from a different world.  It is interesting, intriguing, and hilarious all the same.   Seriously, if you are from the south originally and mostly only lived in the south, watch it.  You will be introduced to a new world.  Here is Snooki, probably the most memorable character:

Best Gossip Girl Ever.

Sorry I've been a little out of touch.  I have had a pretty stressful weekend/week.  But D took me out to a Mexican dinner and made it all better.  It's over and I am going to focus on some other stuff in the meantime.  In REAL IMPORTANT news....watching Monday night's episode of Gossip Girl.  First order of business:  dying over this dress Serena wore:

Beautiful.

And in reality of items I could NEVER own (because I could NEVER afford):

It's Alexander Wang, Slinky Vicose Long Sleeve Goddess Dress
$590 at tobi.com

In other Gossip Girl news, dying over Chuck Bass' kiss with a guy.  It was short, but so sweet ;)  Oh but the episode has so many twists and turns.  Hating on Vanessa because she dates Ed Westwick in real life.  I will swoon over him foreverrrrrrrr ;)  I wish I could be a guest star on Gossip Girl just to wear the amazing and beautiful clothes.

At least tomorrow is Thursday.  One day closer to the weekend.  D and I have a lot of big decisions coming up and honestly, I am just ready for answers.  So much is up in the air.  I need answers.  I'm ready to move.  Update more later :)

What I'm Watching.

Ok.  I am actually so proud of myself :)  A little bit of searching (obviously not on google) led me to figure out where my problem was.  So now, I'm an expert and I can tell you how to fix your computer if you ever get a virus that blocks google and all google related sites!  Anyhow!  On to the real stuff:  What I'm Watching!

GOSSIP GIRL!! Can I say how much I die over this picture of Chuck Bass?  I have a hopeless crush on a tv character.  I mostly obsess over the fashion and life of rich kids on the Upper East Side.  I admit, so far the story lines are a little cheesy (I mean, Hilary Duff...ew).  I can't break away from Chuck and Blair though...

TOP CHEF: Las Vegas!!  D and I watch all the Top Chefs.  Maybe because we love to eat?  Interesting season so far.  There are always the contestants who just don't deserve to stay as long as they have.  I love the guy from Atlanta and definitely think that he was winning potential.

Who isn't watching THE OFFICE this season??  I mean Jim and Pam getting married (that's tonight by the way...we're tivo-ing it so I'll have to see all the facebook status updates about it first).

Cutest photo op of them ever.  The pics inside were even better.  D thinks The Office is slacking with story lines and such.  I agree to an extent.  It still makes me laugh out loud so much and the addition of Jim and Pam's wedding is epic.  I'll watch Michael Scott until the end regardless.

On Netflix:  LOST, SEASON 4!!  Oh, I don't see how ANYONE can not love this show.  Don't read any further if you don't watch.  We're to the point that Sayid and Desmond are on the mysterious ship belonging to Penny's father.  And...they just discovered Michael on the boat!  Oooo...I can not wait.  I will die when the show is over.  I keep telling D that I am not loving the new "future" flashfowards that they are doing.  I don't like to know who doesn't make it off the island!  You want all the main characters to make it off.  My fav characters are definitely Sayid, Desmond, and Charlie.  I am sort of over Jack, Kate, and Sawyer.  I have to admit I shed a tear (or a few) when Charlie died.  Oh terrible :(

So those are my favs for now.  Trust me, I watch WAY too much tv (especially since the purchase of tivo/dvr).

On another note, KayD and I started running this week.  Well sort of.  We ran a whopping one day :(  She had some things come up as did I (as in, I want to sleep in on my furlough day).  Next week, we are definitely getting back on track for Mon, Wed., Fri, & Sun running.  Seriously I overslept this morning since we ended up not being able to run together.  Motivation really is huge.  I've also been eating absolutely terrible (so much for feeling good about myself at the wedding this weekend).  We have no food here, and I think D and myself are too lazy to go to the grocery store at the moment.  FAIL.  Maybe on my holiday on Monday?  We need to get back to healthy eating.  I wish I had some motivation for healthy eating!  I keep meaning to print a picture of my ideal elopement dress and keep it with me.  Hasn't happened yet.  I need some motivation for real.
